Reading Journal Blog Almedina Demiri BMGV1C Empathy: Write about something happening in the book that you can relate to? How did you react? Try to put yourself in the characters shoes and say why you think they fell the way they do. Christopher tells that his mother died, but he did not visit her at the hospital. The father tells him that the mother still has his get well card on the table, which pleases him very much. He had made this card at school with his art teacher Mrs. Peters. There are nine same cars on the card, that he painted red. What stands as a symbol for a Super Super Good Day. I can understand Christopher very well that he was not in the hospital, because it can be very frightening for a child of this age (he is just 15 years old) to see his mother lying in hospital. I have already made this experience and think the children should not go to the hospital. That's why I find his decision right and think a drawing or in this case a c...

Reading Journal Blog Almedina Demiri BMGV1C Characterization: Write a short letter to the author/playwright or to one of the characters. Tell them what is on your mind. Dear Mr. Haddon I read your book “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” as part of the English lessons and I was very skeptical at the beginning. Since it irritated me that the book is actually divided into two stories, but this story's are coherent. But I think that this kind was cleverly chosen by you and also very successful. As a result, I liked the book very much. You've got the thoughts of Christopher the autist in a simple way. Although the book is about an illness, there is nothing sentimental or depressing in this book. On the contrary, the book is filled with knowledge and wisdom. The many explanations and illustrations helped me to understand the book even better. A really excellent book that tells the story from the point of vie...
Reading Journal Blog Almedina Demiri BMGV1C Reflection: Write down your first impressions of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot. At first glance, it seems to be a thriller book. The title the Curious incident in the Night-time suggest that something terrible happened to a dog. I immediately started reading the book and I read the Chapters 1- 34. The level of the language is well readable and the chapter numbers are not as usual 1,2,3... but 2,3,5,7..., because Christopher loves prime numbers. Also, the story always digresses from the actual main story. At one point, for example, the protagonist (Christopher) is sitting in the police station for interrogation and tell us something about the existence of the Milky way. His metaphors are very interesting for examples: „The dog was stone dead or He was the apple of her eye." That Christopher is already deal...
It's interesting that most of you who answers this question don't actually answer it :) You talk more about what you think happened rather than saying what you think will happen next. But if the question were "take a guess as to what has happened before the book began" it would be good. So it's fine, you don't have to rewrite it or anything.
